New CEO Elon Musk had made it clear that now users will have to take Twitter blue subscription for blue tick and in case of not doing so, blue tick will be removed from their account. Implementing this decision from April 20, the platform has removed the legacy blue ticks.
Twitter was calling those blue verification batches legacy blue ticks, which had received blue ticks before Musk launched the Twitter Blue service. In the old system, Twitter used to give verification badges to celebrities, public figures and big names in different fields without demanding any additional payment. It was decided in this way that the real account of a celebrity could be identified and many fake accounts could not be created in his name.

The names of the names of the Bollywood world whose blue ticks have been removed include names like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. On the other hand, talking about the names related to politics, the blue tick is no longer visible even on the accounts of big names like Yogi Adityanath, Arvind Kejriwal, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. Sports stalwarts like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Saina Nehwal, Sania Mirza, Rohit Sharma and Saurabh Ganguly are also now without Twitter blue ticks.
This much money will have to be paid for blue tick
Anyone can now buy a blue tick on Twitter paying a monthly fee and they don’t have to be a public figure or a celebrity. The price of Twitter Blue subscription plan in India has been kept at Rs 900 per month on Android and iOS. At the same time, those who subscribe to it with the help of the website will have to pay Rs 650 every month. If users want, paying Rs 9,400, they can take Blue Tick on Twitter for a year. It is possible that the celebrities whose blue ticks have disappeared from their accounts have not yet paid for Twitter Blue.
