City Wins a landslide, the race for the Premier League title is getting hotter

The race for the title is heating up after Manchester City returned to the top of the Premier League standings after winning 3-0 over West Ham at the Etihad Stadium, Thursday (4/5/2023) early morning WIB.

In front of his own supporters, Nathan Ake, Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scored three goals for Manchester City.

This victory made Manchester City shift Arsenal and rise to the top of the Premier League standings with 79 points, one point ahead of the Gunners.

It’s just that City can leave Arsenal further because they still have one more game.

West Ham, who City beat, are in 15th place with 34 points. This condition is quite worrying, because West Ham is only 4 points ahead of the relegation zone.

The Citizens took the lead when the second half had only been running for five minutes through a goal scored by defender Nathan Ake.

City enlarge the advantage to 2-0 in the 70th minute. Norwegian sticker Haaland escaped the offside trap when he received Jack Grealish’s pass and chipped the ball towards the goal which was guarded by Fabianski.

Five minutes before the end, Phil Foden listed his name on the scoreboard.

In other matches, Liverpool narrowly won 1-0 over Fulham in the Premier League continued at Anfield Stadium. The only goal was scored by Mohamed Salah through a penalty kick.

Liverpool remain in fifth place after the win. They gain 59 points. Fulham stuck in tenth place with 45 points.
