Conquering Chelsea, Brentford Makes Lampard More Miserable
– Brentford made Chelsea coach Frank Lampard even more miserable after humiliating the London club, 2-0, in the Premier League continued, Thursday (27/4/2023) early morning WIB.

This defeat made Chelsea unable to move from 11th place in the Premier League standings. Lampard’s troops scattered after only being able to win 39 points from 32 matches.
While this 11th win has made Brentford overtake Fulham and sit in ninth place with a collection of 49 points. Thomas Frank’s team is one level below Brighton and Hove Albion.
Lampard adopted a 3-4-2-1 formation in Chelsea’s 17th home game. He made Raheem Sterling the sole striker supported by N’Golo Kante and Conor Gallagher.
In the midfield, Chelsea featured Cesar Azpilicueta, Enzo Fernandez, Mateo Kovacic and Ben Chilwell. In defense, Lampard put three players Wesley Fofana, Thiago Silva and Trevoh Chalobah. They escorted goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.
While in the Brentford camp, coach Thomas Frank, installed a 4-4-2 formation by placing Yoane Wissa and Ivan Toney as a duet at the forefront. Both were supported by midfielders Vitaly Janelt, Frank Onyeka, Mathias Jensen, and
Rico Henry. While the defense was entrusted to Ben Mee, Ethan Pinnock, Zanka, and Mads Roerslev Rasmussen. The goalkeeper position was entrusted to David Raya.
Chelsea’s disaster began in the 37th minute when Azpilicueta scored a goal into his own net. When he was about to throw the ball from the Brenford player’s corner, the Spaniard actually sent the ball into Kepa’s goal.
Brentford managed to increase the advantage to 2-0 in the 78th minute thanks to the cooperation of two substitute players. After receiving a pass from Shandon Baptiste, Bryan Mbeumo then combed the left side of the Chelsea defense and then fired a left foot shot and tore Kepa’s goal.
Chelsea actually appeared dominant with 73% possession. They also made four precise kicks against Brentford. But until the match was over, the Blues still failed to produce a goal.
