Dewa United Succeeds in Bringing Ricky Kambuaya from Persib

– Dewa United successfully brought in Indonesian national team midfielder Ricky Kambuaya from Persib Bandung in the 2023/24 Indonesian League 1 player transfer market.

According to an official statement from the club, the CEO of Dewa United, Ardian Satya Negara, expressed his joy over the transfer process for Ricky Kambuaya.

“We are very pleased with the arrival of Ricky Kambuaya to this team. There is an agreement between us, Persib and Ricky that allows this transfer process to occur,” said Ardian.

“Ricky is a player who has experience in the Indonesian League and is currently still being called up for the national team. We hope that his presence can improve the team’s performance,” he added.

Meanwhile, PT Persib Bandung Dignified (PBB) CEO, Teddy Tjahjono, stated that Ricky Kambuaya actually still has a one-year contract with Persib.

“Ricky Kambuaya is still under contract with Persib until next year. Therefore, Dewa United got Ricky Kambuaya through a transfer scheme,” explained Teddy.

The 27-year-old player joined Persib Bandung prior to the start of the 2022/23 Liga 1 season, after moving from Persebaya Surabaya.

During his first season with Persib Bandung, Ricky Kambuaya appeared in 22 matches with a total playing time of 1093 minutes and provided three assists.

Ricky Kambuaya, who was born in Sorong, West Papua on May 5 1996, started his career at PSMP Mojokerto in 2017 and debuted at the highest level of Indonesian football with PSS Sleman in 2019.
