Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – PSSI chairman Erick Thohir greeted the U-17 national team player selection participants who were being prepared for the 2023 U-17 World Cup which will be held in Indonesia. This time the selection process for the U-17 national team players was held in Jakarta.

Erick Thohir, who also serves as BUMN Minister, said the selection process would be carried out in several regions, in order to find the best young footballers in Indonesia.

“We are seriously looking for the 11 best Indonesian national team players to compete in the U-17 World Cup. Previously, 17 selected participants were selected in three cities. The hope is that the U-17 national team selection in Jakarta this time will contribute the most to the Indonesian national team,” said Erick.

PSSI chairman Erick Thohir greeted the U-17 national team player selection participants who were being prepared for the 2023 U-17 World Cup which will be held in Indonesia.

For your information, the U-17 national team will undergo a series of selection stages. The players who have been netted plan to carry out a training camp in Bali in August. Next, they will also undergo a training camp in Germany and hone their skills by conducting trials against several clubs in September.

Erick Thohir also plans to bring in a coach from Germany for the U-17 national team to accompany head coach Bima Sakti for four months. Erick hopes that the players can prepare mentally and skillfully ahead of the U-17 World Cup.

The Indonesian U-17 national team is also scheduled to face the South Korean U-17 national team in a trial match. The 2023 U-17 World Cup will take place in Indonesia from 10 November to 2 December 2023.
