F1 Powerboat 2024 visitors in Toba reach 70,000 people

Medan, Beritasatu.com – PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney said the number of visitors to the 2024 Lake Toba F1 Powerboat international speedboat race, which was held on March 2-3, reached 70,000 people.

InJourney hopes that the success of F1 Powerboat this time can have a positive impact on Lake Toba tourism and also the economy of the surrounding community,” said InJourney Marketing and Tourism Program Director Maya Watono, Monday (4 /3/2024).

Maya Watono said, with a variety of very interesting events, coupled with the beauty of Lake Toba, F1 Powerboat is one of the highly anticipated championships.

Since the first day ticket sales opened on February 19, Maya continued, people immediately rushed in so that tickets for the grandstand category sold out in seven days.

F1 Powerboat Lake Toba 2024 is attracting public interest because it combines an international scale water sports championship with various shows ranging from the Solu Bolon competition to the Aquabike Indonesia Championship (AIC).

A music festival was also held featuring top and local musicians such as Wali, Ada Band, and Radja. Apart from that, there is an MSME exhibition which is no less interesting.

The 2024 Lake Toba F1 Powerboat Grand Prix which was held at Mulia Raja Harbor, Balige, Toba Regency, North Sumatra was attended by 17 racers from 11 countries.

Racer from Sharjah Team Rusty Wyatt emerged as the winner, while Erik Stark (SWE) from Victory Team was in second place. Meanwhile, Jonas Andersson (SWE) from Team Bình Định-Vietnam was in third place.

InJourney also presents the Solu Bolon competition, which is attended by eight teams from districts around Lake Toba, North Sumatra. The Solu Bolon competition has a total prize of IDR 250 million.

At the same time as F1 Powerboat, AIC was also held, which is a national jetski racing event. This event was attended by 20 Indonesian racers and was an opportunity for athletes to improve their best performance. So, later he can show his achievements in the Aquabike Jetski World Championship which will be held again at Lake Toba at the end of this year.

The success of the 2024 F1 Powerboat is expected to have an economic impact that could exceed that of the 2023 F1 Powerboat which was able to provide an economic impact of up to IDR 1.68 trillion.
