Fulham vs Brentford: The Cottagers Win Thin

Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Fulham won a narrow victory, 3-2, in a trial titled Premier League Summer Series, at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia, United States of America, Sunday (23/7/2023) local time.

This is the first appearance of Marco Silva’s team in a trial event packaged in the mini tournament. The Premier League Summer Series is held in the United States and is attended by six teams. Apart from Fulham and Brentford, Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Brighton and Hove Albion also participated in this event.

In this match, Fulham took the lead through a goal scored by Harry Wilson after just three minutes of play. But Brentford equalized 15 minutes later thanks to a goal scored by Yoane Wissa.

Fulham regained the lead in the 36th minute thanks to a goal by Bobby Reid. The 2-1 position for The Cottagers advantage lasted until the first half was over.

When the second half had only been running for two minutes, Fulham increased the lead to 3-1 after Carlos Vinicius managed to beat Brentford’s goal. But just one minute later, Brentford reduced the deficit thanks to Kristoffer Ajer. The 3-2 score lasted until the game was over.

With the victory over Thomas Frank’s team, Fulham are now in second place in the Premier League Summer Series pre-season tournament standings. The first position was occupied by Chelsea, who also beat Brighton and Hove Albion the day before with a narrow score of 4-3.

Fulham will return to play in this tournament against Aston Villa on Wednesday (26/7/2023). Meanwhile, Brentford will meet Brighton and Hove Albion on the same day.
