Liputan6.com, Jakarta The crypto market has potential bullish. In general, Crypto Researcher Reku, Fahmi Almuttaqin assesses that the Year of the Wooden Dragon which falls this year implies investors' confidence in taking risks in the crypto market which can be seen from several aspects.

This year is also the year of general elections (elections). Not only in Indonesia, but also a number of other countries are also holding elections, such as the United States (US).

A number of US presidential candidates have also gathered in a forum to discuss crypto. The candidates involved included Republican candidates Asa Hutchinson and Vivek Ramaswamy, along with Democratic candidate Dean Phillips, at a live event in New Hampshire on December 11.

The forum discusses various issues related to crypto assets. Other candidates invited include former President Donald Trump, independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Republicans Doug Burgum, Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, and Chris Christie.

From within the country, Vice Presidential Candidate Number 2, Gibran Rakabuming Raka plans to prepare young people who are experts in Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, blockchain experts, robotics experts and crypto experts at one of the official debate forums. This is done to boost digital downstreaming in Indonesia to welcome Indonesia's golden generation in 2045, which according to Gibran requires a golden generation with future talent.

The elections in Indonesia have just been held on February 14 2024. The results of the quick count show that candidate pair number 2, Prabowo-Gibran is ahead by more than 50 percent, leaving the other candidate pairs far behind. This condition was taken as a signal that the election would only last one round. Even so, the impact on the crypto market is said to be slight, even though Gibran briefly touched on crypto.

“So there is no short-term impact on the crypto market due to the elections in Indonesia. Political stability in the US as a country which is quite important for the world of finance and investment, can certainly have an indirect impact on the crypto market,” said Fahmi to Liputan6.com, Sunday (18/2/2024).
