Hasim Kipuw Becomes Barito’s First Recruit Ahead of the New Season

– Senior defender Hasyim Kipuw became Barito Putera’s first signing for the 2023/2024 League 1 season.

The Banjarmasin-based club announced the recruitment of the 35-year-old defender in their Instagram upload, @psbaritoputeraofficial, Friday (12/5/2023).

“The new stopper is ready to fight with Bakantan Hamuk. Welcome to the City of a Thousand Rivers, @hasim15kipuw!” wrote Barito Putera in their upload.

Kipuw defended two clubs in the League 1 competition last season. This Tulehu-born player defends Arema FC and Madura United.

With the two clubs, Hasyim Kipuw appeared in 16 matches and recorded 1,096 minutes of play and received four yellow cards.

Hasyim Kipuw started his career with Persija junior in 2007 and two years later was loaned to Persipasi Bekasi.

In 2012 he joined Arema Indonesia and strengthened the East Java club for two years. Surabaya United became Hasyim’s next port of call before joining Bali United in 2016.

PSM Makassar is also a club he has defended between 2018-2022. Together with the South Sulawesi club, he appeared in a total of 77 matches and made two assists. Together with the club nicknamed Juku Eja, he also won the 2019 Indonesian Cup.

Hasyim has also played for the U-23 and senior Indonesian National Team with a total of seven appearances.
