Held to a draw, Die Roten are finding it increasingly difficult to catch Leverkusen

Goals from Christian Guenter, Mathys Tel, Jamal Musiala and Lucas Hoeler made the match end in a draw for both sides.

Freiburg took the lead through Christian Guenter's goal in the 12th minute, but Bayern managed to equalize in the 35th minute through Mathys Tel's goal. Jamal Musiala gave Bayern a 2-1 lead with his action in the 75th minute.

However, Bayern's hopes of winning were dashed after Lucas Hoeler equalized the score at 2-2 in the 87th minute. Despite their hard work, neither team was able to score additional goals until the final whistle sounded.

This result makes Bayern Munich even further behind in the competition for the Bundesliga title for the 2023/2024 season. With 54 points from 24 matches, they are in second place, seven points behind Bayer Leverkusen, who have only played 23 matches.

Die Roten, who have won the Bundesliga for 11 consecutive seasons since 2012/2013, are finding it increasingly difficult to continue their dominance this season. Meanwhile, Freiburg remains in ninth position with 30 points.
