Indonesia Has Potential Career Opportunities in the Blockchain and Web3 Industry

This partnership will drive the development of Startale’s Web3 services and products, including its mission to create an all-in-one solution for Web3 development and focus on bridging real-world assets with the Web3 ecosystem.

Startale Labs CEO Sota Watanabe said the partnership with Sony allows new Web3 startups like his company to learn and take advantage of a lot.

“Developers and users need to understand the blockchain technology stack when interacting with Web3. We want to provide a smooth experience for common users and this tool allows them to interact with space without knowing it,” said Watanabe, quoted from Cointelegraph, Friday (30/6/2023).

Along with the investment, president and representative director of Sony Network Communications, Jun Watanabe, was appointed director of Startale Labs. Previously the two companies successfully held the Web3 Incubation Program together.

Watanabe is also the co-founder of Astar Network, a parachain operating in the Polkadot ecosystem, of which Startale Labs is part of the core team. Astar recently launched a smart contract that supports two virtual machines, which allows the creation of WebAssembly or Ethereum Instances projects on the network.

Sony’s Steps on Web3

Sony Network Communications is a reliable provider of fiber optic internet services. However, other domains and branches of Sony have been involved in the Web3 initiative, including the non-fungible token (NFT).

In March 2023, Sony Interactive Entertainment, the video game giant behind the PlayStation brand, filed a patent that would allow users to transfer and use NFTs across multiple gaming platforms.
