Japan Open 2023 Results: Eliminated Immediately, Apri/Fadia Upset

This victory also avenged Gregoria’s defeat to Pornpawee in the semifinals of the 2023 Swiss Open, last March 25. At that time, the 23-year-old badminton athlete lost 21-18, 13-21 and 17-21.

In the last 16 of the Korea Open, Gregoria will face Sung Shuo Yun. The Taiwanese badminton player advanced to the round of 16 finals after eliminating his compatriot Pai Yu Po with a score of 14-21, 21-17, and 21-18.

Gregoria has recorded two meetings with Sung and always wins. At the last meeting at the 2023 Indonesia Masters, last January 25, Gregoria won 12-21, 21-18, and 21-11.
