Korea Open 2023 Final: Fajar/Rian Challenged by 3rd seed, China secures 1 title

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian men’s doubles, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, will face third seed Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty in the 2023 Korea Open final, Sunday (23/7/2023). While China ensured one title from the mixed doubles.

Fajar/Alfian, the world’s first ranked men’s doubles, will meet the Indian representative in the final or fifth match in today’s final at Jinnam Stadium, Yeosu. Fajar/Rian met Rankireddy/Shetty in four matches and the score of their meeting was a 2-2 draw.

In the last two meetings between the two doubles, Fajar/Rian always lost. In the last 16 round of the 2019 Thailand Open, Fajar/Rian gave up 17-21 and 19-21. Meanwhile, at the 2023 Indonesia Open, Fajar/Rian also gave up 13-21 and 13-21 in the quarter-finals.
