League 1: Beating Bhayangkara FC, Rans Nusantara Leads Provisional Standings

– Rans Nusantara FC scored its second win of the season after defeating Bhayangkara FC 2-1 in the second week of the Indonesian League 1, at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, Sunday (9/7/2023) evening.

Two goals from Rans Nusantara FC were scored by Mitsuru Marouka and Tavinho. Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC had replied through Crislan Henrique.

This result makes Rans Nusantara FC lead the 2023/2024 Indonesian League 1 standings, with a score of six points from two matches. Meanwhile, Bhayangkara FC is in 17th place without any points.

Bhayangkara is actually slightly superior in ball possession (53%). However, in terms of releasing kicks, both teams scored six times, four of which were on target.

The first threat in the first half came from Bhayangkara FC when Matias Mier’s shot was still wide of the Rans goal. Not staying silent, Rans replied through attempted kicks by Tavinho and Evandro which still didn’t work.

Rans Nusantara got a golden opportunity after the referee pointed to the spot because Abdul Rahman was violated by Adam Najem in the forbidden box. Mitsuru Marouka, who advanced as the executioner, scored a successful ball in the 36th minute. The temporary score was 1-0 for Rans.

Furthermore, Rans again had a golden opportunity through Abdul Rahman’s hard kick. Unfortunately the ball still hit the crossbar of Bhayangkara FC.

Before halftime, Bhayangkara FC almost equalized through Matias Mier’s free kick which was saved by Rans goalkeeper Try Hamdani. The 1-0 score for Rans’ advantage lasted until halftime.

Bhayangkara’s efforts to find an equalizer bore fruit in the 46th minute. Crislan Henrique’s equalizer scored in response to Matias Mier’s free kick.

The 1-1 score made the match even more interesting. Buying and selling attacks demonstrated both teams. Rans took the lead again through Tavinho’s long-range shot in the 74th minute.

Left behind, Bhayangkara FC tried hard to find an equalizer. But until the long whistle sounded, the score remained 2-1 for Rans’ victory.
