Madrid vs Man City: Throwing food at the Bernabeu stands when celebrating goals, Haaland’s father criticized

– Several Real Madrid fans took to social media to criticize Erling Haaland’s father for his behavior during the 1-1 draw against Manchester City, Tuesday (9/5/2023) or early Wednesday WIB.

Alfie Haaland allegedly threw food into the stands and also made gestures to insult Real Madrid fans.

In one of the videos, security personnel at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu can be seen escorting Haaland’s father and co-workers outside as they continue to make provocative gestures towards some fans who call him “stupid” and shout about his son.

Regarding the incident, Alfie, who has also defended Manchester City, then also uploaded his comments on Twitter. “Okay Real Madrid not happy we celebrated Kevin de Bruyne’s goal,” Alfie wrote on Twitter afterward.

“Apart from that, we had to move because the Real Madrid fans weren’t happy with the 1-1 result.”

Man City picked up a draw in the first leg of the Champions League semifinals. The hosts took the lead thanks to Vinicius Junior’s goal in the first half. However, Man City avoided defeat after Kevin De Bruyne fired a right-foot shot into the corner of the goal and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois could not anticipate it.

It was while celebrating this goal that the incident that was triggered by Alfie Haaland occurred. Man City actually appeared dominant in possession in this match. Erling Haaland himself was made to do nothing because he always hit Real Madrid’s two walls, David Alaba and ANtonio Rudiger.

The second leg of the Champions League semi-final between Manchester City and Real Madrid will take place on Wednesday 17 May at the Etihad Stadium.
