Maung Bandung Wins, Despite Appearing with 10 Players

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Persib Bandung won 3-1 over Persikabo even though they only played with 10 people in the League 1 continuation, Friday (15/3/2024), at the I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali.

Maung Bandung, nicknamed Persib, had to play with 10 people after midfielder Dedi Kusnandar was sent off by the referee for receiving a second yellow card in the 36th minute. At that time Persib was already leading 1-0 thanks to a goal from the penalty spot scored by David Da Silva.

Playing with 10 people did not reduce the sharpness of the team from the capital of West Java. Persib then added two goals in the second half scored by Stefano Beltrame and David Da Silva who scored their second goal that night.

The excellent performance of three players on the front line, Stefano Beltrame, David Da Silva, and Ciro Alves made Persikabo in this match.

David Da Silva scored the first goal in the 29th week of the match after only three minutes had passed. The team coached by Bojan Hodak scored the first goal after David Da Silva broke into Persikabo's goal from the penalty spot.

They were awarded a direct kick from 12 meters after Persikabo goalkeeper Syahrul Trisna tackled David Da Silva in the forbidden box. The Brazilian striker took this penalty and managed to outwit Syahrul.

In the 22nd minute, it was Persikabo's turn to threaten. An attempt still hit the Persib crossbar, followed by Dimas Drajad's left footed shot which was perfectly captured by Kevin Mendoza.

Persib had to lose one player, namely Dedi Kusnandar. The referee sent him off for a foul on Pedrinho. Even though they played with 10 people, Persib was able to keep their goal from conceding in the first half and took a 1-0 lead.

Entering the second half, Persib continued to use an attacking pattern. Persikabo failed to maximize its advantage in the number of players.

Persib actually managed to increase their lead in the 58th minute. Starting from Ciro Alvaes' attack from the right side, this Brazilian player then released a pass which Beltrame maximized into a goal.

Persib increased their lead in the 66th minute, after David Da Silva scored his second goal of the night.

Persikabo finally scored a goal in this match thanks to Yandi Sofyan's action. The player who came on as a substitute carried the ball briefly after receiving a pass from Pedrinho. He then fired a right-footed shot that goalkeeper Kevin Mendoza couldn't reach.

The score 3-1 for Persib's advantage lasted until the match was over. Persib also recorded its 14th win this season.
