Meme Coin Crypto Market Capitalization Has Successfully Reached IDR 90.6 Trillion

Liputan6.com, Jakarta As bitcoin inches closer to its peak high, the market capitalization of the memecoin sector increased by more than 38% over the past day. The meme coin market valuation soared to USD 61.59 billion or the equivalent of IDR 970.6 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 15,618 per US dollar), on Monday, March 4 2024.

Reporting from Bitcoin.com, Sunday (17/3/2024), the price of Dogecoin (DOGE), the largest meme coin by market capitalization, increased 26.6% on Monday, reaching USD 0.178 or the equivalent of Rp. 2,807. Over the previous week, DOGE had risen an impressive 105.2% against the US dollar.

Second place in the meme coin category is shiba inu (SHIB), which jumped 58.7% in the last day and is up 250.5% over the week. Pepe (PEPE) enjoyed a 38.8% gain on Monday and, for the week, has surged by 409.6%.

Price Surge

Bonk (BONK) saw a 72.8% surge over a 24-hour span, with a weekly increase of 260.0%. Floki (FLOKI) recorded the smallest daily growth on Monday at 10.4%, but has gained 343.9% over the week.

Dogwifhat (WIF) took a dip today, falling 6% against the US dollar, although WIF has surged 295.7% on the week. Many meme coin assets have recorded triple-digit increases over the past seven days, marking the group as the best-performing crypto sector this week in terms of overall gains.
