Munich President Optimistic Harry Kane Will Join

– Bayern Munich Honorary President Uli Hoeness believes striker Harry Kane will leave Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) and join the Bundesliga giants. Harry Kane has clearly indicated his decision to leave London.

Unfortunately, Kane’s wish was constrained by Spurs, who did not want to let go of his assets.

“Harry Kane is still adamant about leaving. If he keeps his word then we will get him, because then Tottenham will have to budge,” Hoeness told German TV channel, Sport1.

“Kane wants to play internationally and fortunately for us, Tottenham will not be playing internationally next year. He now has another opportunity to come to a top club in Europe,” Hoeness continued.

Even though it was widely rumored that he would leave, Kane was still included by the Spurs on the Asia-Pacific pre-season tour.

Regarding Kane’s future, the new Spurs coach, Ange Postecoglu, said he did not want to be bothered about this.

“I haven’t had any guarantees and I don’t expect any guarantees. All I know right now is that Harry is part of this squad. He is a very important part. He is one of the best strikers in the world and I want him to be involved.” he said.

Spurs director Daniel Levy and Bayern chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen reportedly met in London on Thursday (13/7/2023) to discuss a transfer for Kane, whose contract is now in the final year.
