Nicki Minaj has become more anxious due to motherhood

Nicki Minaj – Since she first became a mother two years ago, Nicki Minaj has suffered more from anxiety. That tells the 39-year-old artist in conversation with E! News. She notices this especially when she is far away from her son.

“It feels like my heart is being pulled out of my body,” says Minaj, who has to travel a lot for her work. “I remember being in the UK and I was just crying.”

Digital contact with her son, whose name she never revealed, does not help. “When I video call him, I only get sadder. I know how hard it is to hang up again.”

TheSuperbass singer also says that she does not hire nannies to help raise her son. “I’m from Trinidad and we don’t really ask strangers to take care of our children,” Minaj explains. “But I also know that it’s not wrong to do that. Maybe I just need to get used to the idea. There are hundreds of celebrities who have nannies, and their children are fantastic.”

Minaj married music manager Kenneth Petty in 2019. A year later, they welcomed their son.
