PSG joins the race for goalkeeper Hugo Lloris

PSG are competing for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in the transfer market this summer.

The former France international goalkeeper has confirmed his desire to leave the north London club in the coming weeks, ahead of the expiration of his contract in 2024.

Lloris has made no secret of his desire to return to his boyhood club Nice, where he played for 11 years (1997-2008) before moving to Lyon. Even so, he still wants to see other options that are still open.

Among them is also interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia who are ready to double Lloris’ salary. Do not miss Inter Milan who could have offered him the opportunity to continue to take part in Europe.

Inter are reportedly working fast to bring Lloris to the San Siro this summer. But this desire is now getting new competition from PSG.

However, if you choose PSG, Lloris must be willing to become a backup keeper considering that the French club is currently still relying on Gianluigi Donnarumma as the main goalkeeper. Apart from that, there is still a back-up goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Navas has returned to PSG after helping Nottingham Forest secure their place in the Premier League in the absence of Dean Henderson.

Tottenham director Daniel Levy has reportedly no intention of letting Lloris leave on a free transfer this summer. Levy will certainly demand payment from PSG for the 36-year-old.

Lloris has recorded 151 clean sheets in 447 games for Spurs in all competitions since arriving in 2012. However he conceded 39 goals in the Premier League last year and was criticized for a number of errors.

Lloris kept seven clean sheets in 25 appearances in the top flight last season. while Bernardo Silva and Joao Felix are reportedly being targeted by a new coach, Luis Enrique.
