Realme 12 Pro Plus Officially Launched, Offers Periscope Lens at Prices Starting from IDR 6 Million

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Realme 12 Pro Plus has finally officially launched on the Indonesian market, after its presence was revealed last month. As previously reported, Realme 12 Pro Plus comes with periscope lens support.

Realme claims that the periscope telephoto sensor on this cellphone is the largest in its segment. The sensor used on the Android cellphone is a 12 inch OV64B.

“With Realme 12 Pro Plus, we are bringing a flagship class camera to a mid range device for the first time,” said Realme Indonesia PR Lead Krisva Angnieszca at the launch of Realme 12 Pro Plus in Jakarta, Thursday (29/2/2024).

Not only that, this Realme cellphone is also equipped with next generation lossless zoom capabilities. So, this device offers capabilities lossless zoom at 0.6x, 1x, 2x, 3x, up to 6x.

This cellphone uses three cameras, where the main lens has 50MP (wide), 64MP (periscope) and 8MP (ultrawide).

What is no less interesting, the photography capabilities of this new HP Realme are supported by customization of the MasterShot algorithm, the result of collaboration with Qualcomm. Thanks to this collaboration, Realme 12 Pro Plus is equipped with the ability to process the RAW domain algorithm.

“With the RAW domain, the image quality is better and superior to the others,” said Krisva. He also said that this was the first time RAW Domain was present on a mid range class device, considering that this feature is usually only available in the flagship class.

As a power plant, this smartphone is equipped with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. There are two memory options presented by Realme on this smartphone, namely 8GB/256GB RAM and 12GB RAM/512GB ROM.

Realme 12 Pro Plus has an AMOLED screen with a curved design measuring 6.7 inches with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. This smartphone screen supports 1.07 billion colors and 100% P3 color gamut, as well as the Pro-XDR feature.

To support its performance, there is a 5,000mAh capacity battery which is supported by the 67W SuperVOOC charging feature. Realme 12 Pro Plus runs Realme UI 5.0 based on Android 14.

In Indonesia, the price of the Realme 12 Pro Plus variant with 8GB RAM/256GB ROM is IDR 5,999,000. Meanwhile, the 12GB RAM/512GB ROM variant is sold for IDR 6,999,000.
