SEA Games 2023: Already Sharp, U-22 Indonesian National Team Winger Fajar Fathur Rahman Also Performs Worship to the Fullest

The U-22 Indonesian national team finally found an opponent in the semifinals of the 2023 Cambodia SEA Games. The team made by Indra Sjafri has confirmed that they will meet the defending champion Vietnam, Saturday (13/5/2023).

Vietnam faced Indonesia after finishing second in the final group B standings. The Golden Stars Warriors failed to win the group due to being held to a 1-1 draw by Thailand in the last match, Thursday (11/5).

The coach of the U-22 Indonesian National Team, Indra Sjafri, in the pre-match press conference, admitted that he had prepared his team for this match. According to Indra, the condition of the players is very good and ready to compete.

“First, we should be grateful that Indonesia was able to advance to the semifinals, a round which we certainly want, and also welcome to Thailand, Vietnam and Myanmar in the semifinals. I think these four teams have the same chance to advance to the finals,” said Indra. Sjafri at a press conference.

“We are ready to face Vietnam. There are no problems with the players and everyone is ready to play. We will prepare the team well and God willing, the best results for Indonesia at the end of the game.”

This is not the first time Indonesia has faced Vietnam in the SEA Games. Throughout the history of this multi-event event, the two countries have met at least 14 times. From meeting after meeting, the Indonesian national team won 5 wins, two draws and seven defeats.
