THE FLASH – FIND OUT ALL ABOUT DC STUDIOS’ THE FLASH MOVIE, A feature-length cinematic for DC Comics ‘ The Flash was first announced in 2014.
Since then, we’ve had several appearances by the Scarlet Speedster in movies like Justice League and Suicide Squad , as well as a few TV guest appearances.
Not to mention the series ‘ many seasons , and that gave us a nice turn with the character.
But finally, The Flash will hit theaters in 2023. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming film .
THE FLASH

Despite early reports that this film would be called Flashpoint , based on the DC Comics event of the same name , it will simply be called The Flash.
The Flash Plot
Based on the DC FanDome 2021 trailer , it looks like The Flash is indeed loosely adapting the 2011 DC event series Flashpoint.
In that story, Barry Allen uses his super-speed powers to travel back in time, preventing his mother’s murder from occurring when he was a child. But when he returns to his present, he finds that things have drastically changed.
In the movie version, it looks like Barry will somehow alter time and space and bring back Michael Keaton ‘s Batman from classic Tim Burton movies .
Also, in this altered universe there is a new version of Supergirl and at least one alternate Barry.
Flash will also get a new suit in the movie, replacing the one he wore in Justice League.
Behind the scenes
In the years since the film’s initial announcement, many directors have come and gone.
However, It and It : Chapter Two director Andy Muschietti directs The Flash.
The film’s final script is by Birds of Prey and Batgirl screenwriter Christina Hodson , with a story by Hodson , John Francis Daley , and Jonathan Goldstein.

Ezra Miller returns to his role as Barry Allen/The Flash, alongside Kiersey Clemons (Iris West), Sasha Calle (Supergirl), Ron Livingston (Henry Allen), Michael Shannon (General Zod), Antje Traue (Faora) and Two Horsemen of Darkness – Ben Affleck and Michael Keaton as the respective Batmans of their universes.
And given the multiversal aspect of this film, we expect some surprise appearances. Maybe Grant Gustin could show up? Only time will tell.
The Flash will hit theaters on June 15, 2023.
