These two young players get the opportunity to train at Real Sociedad

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Two young Indonesian players, Andika Habibulloh and Muhammad Iqbal Maulana, got the rare opportunity to train at the Real Sociedad academy, Spain after being selected as the best players from 25 participants of the Forsgi Football Academy (FFA) which collaborates with La Liga for an early childhood development program.

Andhika Habibulloh was born in Klaten on April 13 2010 and usually operates as a defensive midfielder. Meanwhile, Muhammad Iqbal Maulana, who was born in Wonogiri on June 29 2010, plays as a right winger. The two of them left for Matador Country on Monday (19/2/2024).

Andhika Suksmana, CEO of The Footballicious and person in charge of this program, said that the opportunity provided by La Liga must be utilized as best as possible by Andhika and Iqbal.

“On this occasion, I would like to thank La Liga for its consistent commitment to early childhood development in Indonesia, which is demonstrated by providing the opportunity for two of our players to train at Real Sociedad,” said Andhika in an official statement received in Jakarta, Monday (19/2/2024).

“The cooperation between Indonesia and La Liga is very close, and I hope Andika and Maulana can gain as much experience and knowledge as possible while at Real Sociedad,” he added.

Andhika also hopes that this program will motivate young Indonesian players to work hard to become great footballers who can compete at the highest level of European competition, as Takefusa Kubo did with Sociedad.

“Real Sociedad is one of the clubs that has succeeded in producing successful Spanish players. Currently, they are also successfully competing at the top of La Liga and the Champions League. I hope that a successor to Takefusa Kubo from Indonesia will emerge who plays for Real Sociedad,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Andika and Iqbal are very enthusiastic about participating in this program. They plan to focus on training and follow all the programs with full dedication.

“I feel very lucky to be able to go to Spain and I will make the most of this opportunity,” said Andika.

“As a young player, my biggest dream was to be able to train as well as possible, and now is the opportunity. I am grateful to La Liga for facilitating us to go to Spain,” added Maulana.

Apart from training with the Real Sociedad youth team, these two future Indonesian players will also undertake several other activities such as a tour of the Reale Arena Stadium and watching Real Sociedad's match against Villarreal in the Spanish League on Saturday (24/2/2024) WIB.
