Twitter Limits the Number of DMs of Free Users Who Do Not Blue Check
Previously, Twitter announced they would start sharing revenue from its platform, to several content creators who had met the requirements.
“Surprise! Today we launched the Creator Ads Revenue Sharing program,” wrote the official @Twitter account, as quoted Friday (14/7/2023).
“We’re expanding our creator monetization offering to include ad revenue share for creators. This means creators can get a share of ad revenue, starting with their post replies,” Twitter said.
According to the social media platform owned by Elon Musk, the program is part of the company’s efforts to help people make money directly on Twitter.
Twitter also said it will be launching the program more broadly later this July, and all eligible creators can apply.
Quoting the Twitter Help Center page, an account can be declared eligible for monetization if it has paid for Twitter Blue, or becomes an organization verification account.
In addition, the Twitter account must also have at least 5 million impressions on its posts in the last three months. Users must also pass human review for the Creator Monetization Standards.
To quote Tech CrunchElon Musk revealed this first round of payouts to creators will be worth a total of USD 5 million, and will be accumulated from February onwards.
Meanwhile, payments from Twitter will be sent to content creators via the Stripe platform.
