Yayuk Basuki: Athletes Need Sponsors to Compete and Achieve Achievements

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – Indonesian tennis legend, Yayuk Basuki emphasized that athletes who fight and carry the name of the nation need sponsors so they can compete and achieve achievements both at home and abroad.

“Frankly, without the presence of sponsors, our athletes’ steps will be very heavy, they can even limp. In one year of travel, tennis athletes can spend Rp. 1.5 billion to Rp. 2 billion. “Our tennis athletes need sponsorship and a lot of funding, because who else will help them if not ourselves. Okay, sometimes sponsors come directly to the athletes, but there’s nothing wrong with PP Pelti bridging products or sponsors. who are interested in supporting the struggle of Indonesian tennis players in the national and international arena,” he said.

“Of course tennis is very different when compared to the sport (sports) of badminton (PBSI), whose program continues and gets full support, including from sponsors and also the main sports directly in which there are already sponsors too,” he explained.

Meanwhile, at Pelti it has not gone as expected. This is one of the homework that PP Pelti has to do in collaboration with sponsors so they want to support tennis and the athletes in it such as Christopher Ruangkat and Aldila Sutjiadi, including young or junior players.
