The Red and White troops represented by Anthony Sinisuka Ginting, Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Jonatan Christie, Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin, and Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo won 4-1 over the team from the White Elephant country.

It was Fajar/Rian who was the only representative who failed in this battle. They stumbled from the pair Peeratchai Sukphun/Pakkapon Teeraratsakul after playing a fierce duel three games 19-21, 21-14, and 11-21.

Looking at the progress of the match from the opening match, Anthony Ginting tried to surprise the Thai men's team. They did not field their champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn, but chose to place Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul as the Red and White men's singles competitor.

Luckily, Ginting was still able to end the match with a win. Even though he initially only planned to prepare himself to face Kunlavut, the badminton player born in 1996 ended up studying the game of other Thai representatives, which led him to successfully contribute the first point with a 21-16, 21-13 lead.

“Indeed, initially I prepared myself to fight Kunlavut (Vitidsarn), but I had the thought not to stick with him, because the Thai team definitely has a strategy,” said Ginting in his statement after the 2024 Thomas Cup match.
