Ahead of Persis Solo vs Persik Kediri, Milomir Seslija is optimistic that Laskar Sambernyawa will achieve victory

Surakarta, Beritasatu.com – Persis Solo coach, Milomir Seslija, admitted that he was optimistic that his team would achieve victory when they hosted Persik Kediri in the 25th week of the 2023/2024 League 1 season at Manahan Stadium, Solo City, Central Java, Saturday (24/2/2024).

In a press conference session at Manahan Stadium, Friday (23/2/2024), Seslija acknowledged the strength of Persik Kediri as an organized team and has an undefeated record in a number of recent matches. However, he expressed optimism that the Laskar Sambernyawa squad, nicknamed Persis Solo, could perform very well.

“Persik Kediri is indeed a pretty good team, one that is organized, one of the teams that has a good performance in the League. However, we are confident that we can do this match very well,” he said.

Even though Persik Kediri is considered a good team, Milo stated that Persis Solo was not afraid to face the team nicknamed the White Tigers. He reminded that every team has advantages and disadvantages, and Persis Solo will perform optimally against Persik Kediri.

Asked about the possibility of playing three Indonesian National Team (Timnas) players who had just returned to Persis Solo, Milo was reluctant to provide details. He called the three of them good players, but emphasized that the decision on which players to play would depend on the team's development.

“Yesterday Sananta was injured while defending the National Team, Arkhan Kaka played well but didn't play much competitively at group level. As for Riyandi, he is the National Team goalkeeper, but Gianluca's performance is also good. I don't think so fair if you only look at the status (national team player) but don't look at the development of the team. “The point is that there is no jealousy within the team,” he said.

Meanwhile, Persik Kediri coach, Marcelo Rospide, admitted that Persis Solo is a good team, plays collectively and has a good fighting spirit. Rospide highlighted the change in Persis Solo's playing style in the last two matches and acknowledged his team's readiness to face challenges in the upcoming match.

“Of course there are several players that we are anticipating. Such as Messidoro, Moussa Sidibe, Roni (David Gonzales) who will play out of the box and effective in attacks. Their goalkeeper is also good, they also have many options to play defensively. “What's more, they are playing at home, they will definitely be a force to watch out for,” said Rospide.
