Azzahra, a player born in Madiun, May 24, 2005, advanced after defeating Khanh My Huynh from Vietnam with a score of 21-3 and 25-23.

In the match against Khanh, Azzahra admitted that he did not appear careless in the second game. While in the first game he was able to excel, but Azzahra’s performance actually declined, so it happened several times settings before winning the game.

“When I was comfortable playing in the first game, I was even pressured in the next game. It’s great to get out of the pressure at a critical point and win the game. A match that was not easy to win for me,” said Azzahra.

“In the future I have to prepare myself even more and not make too many unnecessary mistakes,” said Azzahra.

It’s a shame Azzahra’s steps were not followed by the women’s single Shandy Tirani Mahesi. The player from Bandar Lampung had to fall to his knees in front of the Japanese representative, Mihane Endo with a score of 14-21, 13-21.

Shandy said he had to be braver and more confident when playing. In this match, Shandy felt that she had not been able to put out her best game and gave up within 30 minutes of the seventh seed from the Land of the Rising Sun.

“I have to play with confidence again. When the opponent presses, I have to be able to get out of pressure and not play in a hurry,” said the player who was born on November 1, 2006 as quoted by PBSI.

The host women’s singles sector has so far passed several names, including Chiara Marvella Handoyo, Mutiara Ayu Puspitasari, Thalita Ramadhani Wiryawan, and Ruzana to the next round.
