AJC Tournament: Indonesian Young Men’s Doubles Pass First Test
Indonesian men’s doubles, Dexter Farrell/Wahyu Agung Prasetyo advanced to the round of 32 at the BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC) 2023, at the Amongraga Sport Hall, Yogyakarta, Thursday (13/7/2023) morning.
In the first round of the 2023 Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC), Dexter/Wahyu won over the Indian men’s pair, Nicholas Raj/Tushar Suveer with a score of 21-19, 21-16.
After the match, BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships (AJC) 2023, Dexter/Wahyu revealed, they were still adapting to the field conditions.
They hope to adapt more quickly so they can appear calmer in every match, especially with the windy field conditions.
“We are happy to be able to play in the BNI Badminton Asia Junior Championships 2023 tournament. We hope to give our best here,” said Wahyu.
With this result, Dexter Farrell/Wahyu Agung Prasetyo managed to advance to the round of 32 and will face a pair from China, Ma Shang/Zhu Yi Jun.
The Chinese pair is the eighth seed in this tournament and immediately advanced to the next round after winning bye.
Dexter/Wahyu will appear more focused when facing the Chinese pair, considering the physical strength that the pair from the Bamboo Curtain Country usually have.
