Apple Boss Tim Cook Committed to Adding iPhone Components Made in Indonesia
Todaysgist.com, Jakarta – Apple boss Tim Cook met with President Joko Widodo alias Jokowi during his visit to Jakarta, Wednesday (17/4/2024). Tim Cook visits the Presidential Palace in Jakarta.
After meeting with President Jokowi, Tim Cook took time to chat with the media covering the Presidential Palace.
One of the things Tim Cook discussed with Jokowi was the manufacturing supply chain for iPhones and other Apple products.
“We talked about the President's (Jokowi) desire to see many factories in Indonesia and this is something we are working on,” said Tim Cook.
Meanwhile, in a press conference after accompanying President Jokowi to meet with Tim Cook, the Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, explained that in the one hour meeting, Tim Cook and the government agreed on a number of important things.
One of them is an effort so that Indonesia can contribute more to Apple's global supply chain, including providing components for Apple products.
