Beat Malaysia 3-1, South Korea to the 2023 Sudirman Cup Final
– The South Korean team advanced to the 2023 Sudirman Cup final after thwarting Malaysia’s resistance with a score of 3-1 in the semifinals.
Korea opened their lead by winning in the first match after mixed doubles, Seo Seung Jae/Chae Yu Jung defeated Chen Tang Jie/toh Ee Wei at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center, Saturday (20/5/2023).
In three games in Suzhou, Seo/Chae won 11-21, 21-13, 21-7 in 51 minutes.
Malaysia replied in the second party to level the score at 1-1 after Lee Zii Jia defeated Jeong Hyeok Jin.
In the two-game match, Lee won 21-11, 21-9 with a duration of 35 minutes.
But after that Korea won the next two parties. Women’s singles, An Se Young defeated Karupathevan Letshanaa 21-10, 21-13.
Korea’s victory was determined in the fourth party through Kim Won Ho/Na Sung Seung’s victory over Aaron Chia/Soh Wooi Yik 21-12, 21-11.
In the final round, Korea will challenge the winner between China and Japan.
