“There are many racers who have won more races than me. But I always work hard and give my best, I can reach a high level,” said Aleix Espargaro.

“The experience at Aprilia over the last 2-3 years has been very good. That's one of the reasons I want to retire. I want to leave feeling happy.”

“Maybe another racer will let me win the next series,” joked Espargaro, referring to the Catalunya MotoGP which has the status of an occasional race this week.

Signs of Espargaro's resignation were detected with the appearance of a special press conference schedule. This session is usually held if a rider wants to hang up their helmet.
