BRI League 1 2023/2024 Results: Detained by Persikabo, Persija Can’t Win This Season

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- Persija Jakarta still can’t win in BRI Liga 1 2023/2024. In the second week, the Kemayoran Tigers again won a draw. This time, Thomas Doll’s troops were held by the host Persikabo 1973 to a goalless draw at the Pakansari Stadium, Sunday (9/7/2023) evening WIB.

With two consecutive draws at the start of the season, Persija is stranded in 11th place in the 2023/2024 BRI Liga 1 standings with two points. Meanwhile, Persikabo is sinking in 16th because it has only collected one point this season.

In this match, Persija has fielded striker Marco Simic since the early minutes. Simic did not play in the first week when Persija was held by PSM Makassar 1-1 at the Bung Karno Main Stadium on 3 July 2023.
