Bruno Mars says he wants to celebrate his birthday in Brazil in October during tour – Cidades na Net

Singer Bruno Mars spoke on Sunday, 5th, about his love for Brazil and his return to the country in October. According to the artist, the idea is to celebrate his 39th birthday on October 8th at a show taking place in São Paulo.

“The shows in Brazil are always different, because the energy of the people is different. The last time was so incredible that now I want to celebrate my birthday there (…) let everyone know, it’s Bruno’s Brazilian birthday party”, said the singer during an interview with Fantástico, on TV Globo.

The singer said that in his first visit, marked by the surprise to fans with the interpretation of the song Evidências by the duo Chitãozinho and Xororó during the show at Festival The Town, there was a search by his keyboardist for a song that would move the public, the intention now is to repeat the feat with a new surprise.

“Who knows, maybe we'll do a contest, which song do you want John (keyboardist) to play, so everyone can sing along? A moment of karaoke with the public”, said Mars.

The artist also spoke about how his relationship with Brazil came about, saying that it began with a film about capoeira that he watched with his father as a child. “My father took me to the cinema to see a film about capoeira. And from then on I started dreaming about one day going to Brazil,” he said.

Bruno also spoke about the nickname “Bruninho” that he gained when he first came to Brazil in 2023. According to the artist, fans shouted the nickname at the hotel door and the name stuck “I love it, I feel like a different artist when I go to Brazil .”

The tour

The Hawaiian artist lands in Brazil in October and performs on October 4th at the Nilton Santos Stadium, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, on the 8th and 9th, at MorumBIS, in the capital of São Paulo, and, on October 17th, at the BRB Mané Garrincha Arena , in DF.

How to buy tickets

Tickets go on sale this Monday, 6th, in an exclusive pre-sale for Santander bank customers. In São Paulo, the sale opened at 9 am on the Tickletmaster Brasil website and will open at 11 am at the official box office.

For Rio de Janeiro and Brasília, tickets will be available from 11 am online and 1 pm at the box office.

For the general public, the sale will start on Wednesday, the 8th, on the same channels and times.

In the capital of São Paulo, tickets vary between R$235 (half-price grandstand) and R$1,250 (entire premium track). At the physical ticket office, the customer is exempt from the service fee.
