Mother's Day is celebrated with dynamics, dinner and party in Itainópolis; see photos – Cities on the Net

In Brazil, on the second Sunday of May, Mother's Day is celebrated, a date created to honor those who gave birth to their children and are owners of pure and unconditional love for them.

In Itainópolis, the City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Education, promoted a large event to celebrate the date, honor mothers and reaffirm the partnership in the educational process of their children.

The party took place on the afternoon and evening of Friday, May 10, at the Governador Guilherme Melo sports court, where hundreds of mothers were welcomed with gifts.

“It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude that we welcome all mothers tonight. Everything was planned with great care and dedication by those who provide education so that you could enjoy this night of celebration, joy, tributes and integration. We are very happy with your presence.”, said the Secretary of Education and First Lady of the municipality, Maria do Socorro Ribeiro.

Throughout the event, mothers were honored with poems and songs and had moments of fun and joy, and integration, through various dynamics such as a beauty parade to choose “Miss Mother 2024”, in addition to forró dancing, prize chair and the treasure hunt.

Finally, dinner was served and the cake was cut. The commemorative event also had live music with singer Marciel Forrozeiro.

To the portal Cities on the NetMayor Miguel Rodrigues spoke of his joy in promoting the party for all mothers in the municipality as a gesture of gratitude and recognition, and praised the maternal figure.

“Mother is a symbol of love, a being of God who was chosen to generate lives. You deserve this moment, this party, a gesture of recognition from our management to you, mothers. As a son, I know how great and valuable it is to have a mother. (…) Ask God to bless all mothers, especially those in Itainópolis, so that they can continue with their children at school, at work, and their children can achieve their dreams, which are also mothers' dreams. May God be present in the lives and families of the mothers of Itainópolis,” she said.

The president of the City Council, councilor Maria Remédios, and also the finance secretary, Môsianny Rodrigues, also participated in the event.
