Chris Flores leaves SBT after 7 years – Cidades na Net

Chris Flores will leave SBT after seven years of contract. According to columnist Daniel Castro, from ”Notícias da TV”, the journalist had a meeting this Friday (19) with executives from the broadcaster and agreed to leave by mutual agreement.

Flores spent the last six months waiting for a new project at SBT, but was unsuccessful. In November last year, she left the command of Fofocalizando and did not want to return to the afternoon show.

The communicator also refused the invitation to take over Chega Mais. She said that she did not see herself in any of the projects and that a mutual agreement was the best solution for both parties. “Now SBT is free and so am I”, she declared.

“At the end of last year, I decided that I didn't want to do 'Fofocalizando' because I no longer found myself in the content. Gossip no longer made sense, I no longer wanted to do a program to talk about other people's lives, about celebrities. I have already gone through this phase and I consider it a mission accomplished”, he stated.

Flores thanked SBT for welcoming her with open arms and highlighted that she dedicated herself to the maximum during the seven years she worked there. She said she has good memories of the broadcaster Silvio Santos. “It’s a cycle that ends”, she added.

Off the air, Chris will dedicate himself to his social networks, his master's degree in History and commercial projects undertaken with clients outside of SBT.

“I'm in a moment of resignification, of understanding what I'm going to do, where and how. It is a time of personal and career restructuring. That's why I needed to put an end to the relationship with SBT. You don't have a fresh start if you don't finish. And if I have a new opportunity at SBT, I will be back with the greatest pleasure.”, he concluded.
