Clashes Between Persis Solo Supporters, 7 People Arrested

Clashes between Persis Solo supporters occurred in the Indonesian League match Persis Solo vs Persebaya at the Manahan Stadium on Saturday (1/7/2023). The Solo City Police (Polresta) Criminal and Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) managed to secure 7 people.

This beating is still related to the action of the convoy and the deprivation of motorbikes by supporters in several locations in the city of Solo, Central Java (Central Java).

“Those involved are dozens. We are processing seven people. While seven perpetrators, because within 24 hours we will investigate this case further. Currently we are completing the administration for the people involved,” said Kompol Agung Sunandar, Head of Satreskrim Polresta Solo, Sunday (2/7/2023).

He explained that the seven people were residents of Solo Raya who were members of Persis Solo supporters.

The seven supporters were arrested in the Ketingan Village Area, Jebres District, Central Java, after beating one victim.

“One victim was injured as a result of this beating. Because this case occurred between Karanganyar and Surakarta simultaneously, there is a possibility that there is a connection between the two,” he continued.

The perpetrators will be charged with Article 170 of the Criminal Code which regulates the crime of beatings with a maximum prison sentence of five years and six months.

Previously, 3 motorbikes belonging to Persis Solo supporters were confiscated in connection with the conflict between the Garis Keras and B6 supporters. This incident occurred outside the Manahan Stadium, in a different location in the city of Solo.
