Cultural presentations and the 1st Accordion Festival mark the second day of Arraiá Boa Esperança in Padre Marcos – Cidades na Net

As a trademark of a management that invests in and values ​​local culture, Padre Marcos City Hall, through the Departments of Culture, Education and Social Assistance, holds the VI Arraiá Boa Esperança, an event that brings together various cultural manifestations, valuing its identity, history and its people.

On the evening of this Wednesday, June 12th, the second day of the event took place, marked by cultural presentations and the 1st Boa Esperança Sanfoneiros Festival.

The event took place at Praça do Abrigo, and was attended by several authorities, such as mayor Valdinar Silva, first lady Edilene Macedo, vice-mayor Valdo Benedito, councilors and municipal secretaries. In addition to the population, which significantly supported Arraiá.

Arraiá Boa Esperança manifests its passion for northeastern culture, expressed through popular culture, joy, tradition, the art of learning and generating mutual knowledge. In this scenario, the cultural roots of the Northeastern people are intertwined in a unique way, making it an essential instrument for building and valuing cultural and social identity.

The event opened with an accordion, when accordion players from the city and the region entered the cultural space singing the sound of the accordion, accompanied by the triangle and the zabumba.

The first performance was led by members of the June party “Piração”, a gang that performs annually in the municipality and throughout the region, standing out for its authenticity, through choreographies and performances that refer to the culture of the June festivals. There was also a presentation of the featured couples.

Another performance was performed by the group Flauta-Doce, who sang the song 'Olha pro Céu meu amor'. The group is made up of girls and boys students from Escola Municipal Cândida Macedo.

The Flute-Doce project is developed in the municipality, through the Department of Education, and has stood out, through a traditional repertoire, reinterpreting great classics of northeastern music in several presentations in the municipality.

The third presentation was marked by the xaxado choreography that highlights in the northeastern scene the love of Lampião and Maria Bonita, represented by Roger and Geovana, who brought with them the mission of presenting such remarkable characters in the history of the northeastern people, rescuing and dissemination through the art of dancing.

Finally, the 1st Sanfoneiros Festival took place, where they performed and showed their talents on the accordion with the authentic traditional forró. More than 20 accordion players participated, both from Padre Marcos and from other cities such as Picos, Sussuapara, Geminiano, Pio IX, Marcolândia, Alegrete and Jaicós.

At the Festival, the accordion, a passion shared by the most varied generations, was played by accordion players ranging from Vitorino Luz, who has played the instrument for 40 years, Alvino Luz, the renowned and talented accordion player, to little Ravi, just 10 years old , from the city of Geminiano, who has shown his appreciation for the accordion from an early age.

The mayor of Padre Marcos, Valdinar Silva, highlighted the importance of the event for cultural appreciation. “We are holding the VI Arraiá Boa Esperança, in the program promoting the Accordion Players Festival, with the participation of 21 accordion players, seven from Padre Marcos and the rest from other municipalities in the region. Padre Marcos City Hall is committed to seeking to value its culture and roots more every day, strengthening its cultural identity”, said the manager, expressing his gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.

The vice-mayor of Padre Marcos, Valdo Benedito, an enthusiast for reviving local culture and history, expressed his joy at the event, highlighting its success.

Padre Marcos' Secretary of Education, Eraldo Gomes, emphasized that culture is treated as a priority by management. “Since the beginning of the administration, the rescue of culture has been a priority and this has praised and revived the hearts of our Padremarco residents and the desire to get to know the culture up close, what talent we have on earth to be able to show the everyone”, he stressed.

Councilors Iranildo Carvalho, Antônio Chiquinho, Bonifácio Dias, Helton Carvalho, Sorriso and Geydson Macedo were also present at the event; secretaries Maria Lucia (Health), Lucicleide Dias (Social Assistance), Erimar Carvalho (Transport), Soênio Ribeiro (Sports), Adjano Bento (Agriculture), civil engineer Wiliane Kelly, former councilors Maninha and Roberval Conrado, alternate councilors, Natália Silva, Marlon Carvalho, legal advisor Raimundo Vieira, among others.
