Defeating Borneo FC, PSS Champions U-18 EPA League 1

Bekasi, Beritasatu.com – PSS Sleman won the Elite Pro Academy (EPA) U-18 League 1 title after beating Borneo FC Samarinda with a score of 2-1 in the final match at the Garudayaksa Academy, Bekasi, Wednesday (6/3/2024).

PSS Sleman's two winning goals were scored by Fajar Akhmad Khusen in the 36th and 60th minutes, while Borneo FC's sole goal was scored by Muhammad Narendra Tegar in the 66th minute.

PSS Sleman coach, Anang Hadi, expressed his happiness at his team's victory and acknowledged Borneo FC's dominance in the match. He also appreciated the support of the supporters who provide motivation for the players to perform optimally both at home and away.

Anang Hadi hopes that the presence of the Indonesian National Team Technical Director, Indra Sjafri, who witnessed the final match directly will provide an opportunity for several players to be called up to the U-20 National Team.

On the other hand, Borneo FC coach, Mokh Fakhrudin, admitted that the results achieved by his team did not meet expectations. However, he plans to carry out an evaluation and better prepare future steps.

After the EPA event, Borneo FC plans to continue developing the club by signing long-term players to improve their level of play.

PSS Sleman's victory also ended their negative record in the meeting with Borneo FC in EPA Liga 1 this season. In the last four matches, PSS only achieved two draws and suffered two defeats.
