Dozens of Tulungagung Football Players Are Enthusiastic about Participating in the U-17 National Team Selection

Tulungagung, Beritasatu.com – Dozens of young footballers in Tulungagung Regency participated in the selection for the U-17 National Team at the Rejoagung Stadium, Tulungagung Regency, Friday (21/7/2023).

These teenagers enthusiastically took part in the U-17 National Team selection held by the local PSSI Association of Indonesian Football Associations (Askab), according to instructions from the central PSSI management.

This selection was held as part of forming the U-17 National Team which will appear at the U-17 World Cup in Indonesia.

“There are 33 players who took part in the selection for the U-17 National Team and 3 players will be taken to be sent to the central PSSI to take part in the selection at the East Java Pengprov level. In addition, this selection is to form the framework for the U-17 Team which will take part in the U-17 Soeratin Cup at the Provincial level,” said PSSI Askab Chairperson of Tulungagung Regency Bahrudin

A total of 33 young players took part in this selection. There are several requirements that must be met by selection participants, namely a maximum age of 17 years and a minimum height of 1.70 meters. Apart from the physical and VOMax tests, they were also assessed in terms of games as well skills.

“Apart from that, players must have instincts, both when attacking and defending,” added Bahrudin.

Bahrudin hopes that from this selection, football players will emerge who can bring Tulungagung’s name to the national and international stages.
