Draw, Nerazzurri Only Need 6 More Points to Win the Italian League
Jakarta, Todaysgist.com – Inter Milan only needs six more points to lock up the Italian League title this season after drawing 2-2 against Cagliari in Week 32 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, Milan, Monday (15/4/2023) early morning WIB.
The team coached by Simone Inzaghi will face AC Milan and Torino in the next two matches. Inter Milan currently leads the standings with 83 points from 32 matches, with a difference of 14 points from AC Milan who is in second place.
Despite winning twice through goals from Marcus Thuram and Hakan Calhanoglu, Inter Milan had to settle for a draw after Cagliari equalized through Eldor Shomurodov and Nicolas Viola.
Meanwhile, AC Milan also failed to get full points after drawing 3-3 against Sassuolo at the Citta del Tricolore Stadium, Reggio Emilia, Sunday. The Rossoneri are currently in second place in the standings with 69 points from 32 matches.
Sassuolo even took a 2-0 lead thanks to goals scored by Andrea Pinamonti after only four minutes of the game and Armand Lauriente (10).
Milan then reduced the deficit thanks to a goal from Rafael Leao who used Yunus Musah's pass in the 20th minute. Sassuolo scored their third goal through Lauriente's action in the 53rd minute.
Milan still won one point from this match after being able to equalize through two goals scored by Luka Jovic in the 59th minute and Noah Okafor in the 84th minute.
The other two matches were also draws. Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw by visiting Frosinone who saw a red card for the hosts. Matteo Politano put Napoli ahead after scoring a goal in the 16th minute.
Frosinone equalized thanks to Walid Cheddira's action when the match entered the 50th minute. Napoli managed to score another goal through Victor Osimhen's action in the 63rd minute.
However, the hosts only picked up one point because their goal was broken for the second time by Cheddira in the 73rd minute.
Napoli left back Mario Rui was sent off as the match entered injury time. This player from Portugal had to leave the field after receiving a second yellow card.
Another match between AS Roma visiting Udinese had to be postponed when the two teams drew 1-1. The referee stopped the match in the 72nd minute because Roma defender Evan Ndicka was unconscious.
The latest news says that the French-born Ivory Coast defender has regained consciousness. The player who was recruited from Eintracht Frankfurt was taken to hospital after collapsing in the 72nd minute.
