WMA awards Exceptional Website Award to Carla Amorim

The Web Marketing Association (WMA) awarded the WebAward to Carla Amorim's website – Outstanding Website in the consumer products category, created and developed by WSI B2U.

Since 1997, the Web Marketing Association's WebAward Competition, based in Massachusetts, USA, has set the standards of excellence for websites, becoming the premier recognition for website developers and the digital marketing community.

Independent judges, web experts from around the world, analyze websites in more than 50 countries and different sectors, assigning scores based on criteria such as design, innovation, content, technology, interactivity, original writing and ease of use. Only the best websites that score above average in their respective industries are recognized with a WebAward.

Launched in December 2022, Carla Amorim's website and e-commerce have gained international recognition from the online marketing community as an Outstanding Website WMA winner.

We, at WSI B2U, were responsible for the entire creation and development process, including design, information architecture, web programming, content curation, integration of internal databases, SEO and results monitoring, all carried out by our Brazilian team .

What makes a website worthy of the WMA award

Each of the annually entered sites is assigned to three or more expert judges for evaluation. Prize Judges are informed of the mission statement and prospective target audience for the site and are provided with a link and password, if necessary, to log in and review the site.

Award judges are not told who submitted the entry or in which category it was entered. They then visit the website, starting with the URL provided in the sign-up form, and assume the role of a target user. After reviewing the site, they record their scores, observations, and comments before moving on to the next site.

At the end of the assessment, the two highest scores are calculated to obtain the final score. Any lower scores are discarded, although judges' comments will be retained and provided to participants if received by the site.

Each website is evaluated according to seven criteria, such as Design, Innovation, Content, Technology, Interactivity, Writing and Ease of Use, on a scale of 0 to 10 points.
Added to the reviews, the site receives a score between 0 and 70 points.

The WebAward (Outstanding Website) Excellence Award is awarded when your score is above 60 points and above the average of your competitors in your field of activity.

Carla Amorim's website scored above the competitors' average, in all evaluated criteria:

• Content (9.5);
• Technology (8);
• Interactivity (9);
• Writing (9.5);
• Ease of use (9.5).

This is the fourth time we have won a WMA WebAward since 2017, considered the “Oscar” of websites. In total, WSI World, based in Toronto and of which we are licensees, has already accumulated hundreds of awards in various categories and in hundreds of countries.

Six years ago, we won the first WebAward granted to a Brazilian company and developed entirely by a local team. In all cases, websites were designed as a central part of the digital presence, with the aim of generating business.

Carla Amorim's WebAward is recognition for the entire team involved in the project, both from WSI B2U and our client's marketing team, in which we also use artificial intelligence (AI) resources in several stages of the project.
