In the race which took place at the Circuit of the Americas, Austin, Texas, Marquez fell when the race entered the 11th lap. At that time, the former Honda racer was leading the race.

Unfortunately, the problem is in parts front-end when braking caused him to lose control, so he again failed to gain points in the 2024 MotoGP main race.

“In the condition of being in the leading position, we encountered problems on the part front-end when braking. “This made me uncomfortable and I struggled hard in the last lap,” said Marquez via the official Gresini Racing website, Monday (15/4/2024).

Despite the incident in America, this accomplished racer with eight world titles remains optimistic. He believes his team will find a solution to this technical problem ahead of the 2024 MotoGP series in Jerez, Spain, which will be held on April 28.

“I am satisfied because we are among the leading positions. We were fast and gave everything we could,” said the 31-year-old racer.

“We will try to fix this problem and compete again at Jerez, just like the way we overcame previous obstacles,” added Marquez.

Previously, at the 2024 Portimao MotoGP in Portugal, Marquez also experienced an incident which resulted in him being eliminated from the competition for the top position. At that time, he collided with Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia with two laps remaining in the race, and had to settle for finishing in 16th position.

Meanwhile, victory at the American GP was achieved by Aprilia Racing racer, Maverick Vinales, followed by Pedro Acosta from Red Bull Gasgas Tech3 and Ernea Bastianini from Ducati Lenovo.

With this victory, Jorge Martin leads the standings with 80 points, followed by Bastianini with 59 points, and Vinales who is in third place with 56 points.
