Fernandes Calls De Gea Deserves a Decent Farewell from MU

– Bruno Fernandes praised his Manchester United team-mate David De Gea who is about to leave. He claimed that the goalkeeper deserved a different farewell, namely the farewell game at Od Trafford Stadium.

De Gea revealed on Saturday that he will be leaving the club after his contract expires at the end of June.

And Fernandes claims that a farewell in front of the Old Trafford crowd would have been more appropriate for the club’s third-highest appearance maker in the Premier League.

The Portugal international posted on Instagram: “You know what I think of you and how much I will miss you, man.”

“You deserve to say goodbye in the stadium with all the fans supporting you for all the good memories,” added Bruno Fernandes.

“You made history at the club and your name will never be forgotten. All the best for what’s to come for you and your family.”

De Gea leaves the club on a high note, having won the Premier League Golden Gloves last season.

United are reportedly interested in replacing him with Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.
