FIFA Bans Al Nassr from Registering New Players, What’s the Cause?

– FIFA has banned Al Nassr from registering new players due to a dispute with Premier League club Leicester City. Al Nassr was punished by FIFA for failing to pay Leicester City a surcharge as part of the Ahmed Musa deal.

An official decision from FIFA stated that the Saudi Arabian team defaulted on €460,000 plus interest on performance-related extras.

FIFA had actually warned Al Nassr in October 2021 of a transfer registration ban if they failed to pay Leicester any outstanding amounts.

It is now believed that they have failed to comply with the ruling and have been placed under a registration ban

The former CSKA Moscow striker joins the Foxes after they won the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season. Unfortunately, Musa failed to shine.

He scored just five goals in 33 games in all competitions for the Foxes before being allowed to rejoin his former club on loan.

Musa was then sold to Al Nassr for around £14 million in the 2018 summer transfer market.

At his new club, Musa played 60 games for Al-Nassr and won the league before being released as a free agent two years later.
