Francesco Bagnaia Extends Contract with Ducati Corse until 2026

Jakarta, Beritasatu.com – MotoGP racer from Italy, Francesco Bagnaia, has officially extended his contract for two more years with the Ducati Corse team. He will defend Ducati Corse until 2026.

This announcement was made directly by the Ducati Corse team via their official Twitter social media account, Monday (4/3/2024), a few days before the start of the MotoGP season at the Lusail Circuit, Qatar, this weekend.

Born in Turin, 1997, Bagnaia joined Ducati with the Pramac Racing team in 2019. With the extension of his current contract, he further cements his position in the history of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer by becoming the second racer tied to Ducati for a total of eight years.

“We are very happy to announce that @DucatiCorse and @PeccoBagnaia will work together for the next two seasons!,” wrote the official Ducati Corse social media account.

“The two-time @MotoGP World Champion with the #DucatiLenovoTeam will continue to ride for the factory #DesmosediciGP in 2025 and 2026!,” added the article.

After the announcement of his contract extension, Bagnaia expressed his happiness via the official MotoGP website.

The 27 year old racer who has won MotoGP two seasons in a row in 2022 and 2023 said that this contract extension was because his career with Ducati Corse was going very well and was extraordinary.

“I am very happy to be able to continue racing with my dream team! Wearing these colors is an honor for me. “It's fantastic and makes me feel proud,” said Bagnaia.

“I am very excited and ready to hit the track in Qatar for the first race of the year,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Ducati Motor Holding CEO Claudio Domenicali assessed that the extension of cooperation with the racer who is familiarly called Pecco is because the racer is very suitable for Ducati.
