Arteta asks players not to be complacent
London, Todaysgist.com – Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta was happy with his team's 6-0 victory over Sheffield United at Bramal Lane, Tuesday (5/3/2024) early morning WIB. This victory made Arsenal pose a threat to the top two rankings in the standings.
Arsenal is now in third place in the Premier League standings, one point adrift of Manchester City in second place and two points from leaders Liverpool.
However, Arteta does not want his players to be complacent, “I like the way the team plays, the quality we show and the aggression without the ball. We have to keep doing what we are doing. We have to do our business and win the game, that's all we can do. “Now focus on Brentford (next opponent),” said Arteta, quoted by Football London.
Regarding the importance of having a superior goal difference compared to their rivals in winning the title, Liverpool and Manchester City, Arteta added, “I don't know, it will be very important if we win the remaining games.”
This victory over Sheffield means Arsenal equaled the record for away wins in the Premier League which was set when they beat West Ham United 6-0 on February 11.
