Fun Volleyball is an opportunity for Indonesian athletes to follow in the footsteps of Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – Indonesian volleyball players are expected to show their best abilities to attract world attention in the exhibition match entitled 'Fun Volleyball Match' at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan, Saturday (20/4/2024).

This match was held to welcome the 2024 Indonesian Proliga volleyball competition which started on April 25. South Korean club Daejeon JungKwanJang Red Sparks will act as guests and will face Indonesia All Star.

“This is an opportunity. Whoever plays must show their best. Those who play must show their best because the match will attract public attention and be broadcast abroad,” said Indonesian All Star coach Pedro Lilipaly at a press conference before the match, Friday (19/4/ 2024).

Megawati Hangestri Pratiwi expressed the same thing. The volleyball player from Jember will defend Red Sparks, the club he will strengthen in the 2023/2024 season, in the next match.

Fun Volleyball was held thanks to the initiation of the Sports Business and Management Institute (LPDUK) of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports which was supported by PP PBVSI. PBVSI Deputy Secretary General Gilang Iskandar hopes that this match will give birth to new talents in Indonesia.

“We hope that with the existence of Red Sparks and the start of the competition, a new Mega Mega will be born, which will not only be active in Indonesia but also abroad,” said Gilang.
