Having arrived in Paris, the U-23 Indonesian National Team is preparing to face Guinea in the 2024 Olympic Play-offs

Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo made a sweet promise if the U-23 national team managed to end their thirst for appearing at the Olympics by winning the duel against Guinea.

He opened up opportunities for bonuses according to the rules, as well as massive support programs to support the needs of athletes and officials ahead of the most prestigious multi-event event in the world.

“If the national team qualifies for the Olympics, of course according to the rules we will provide support programs for athletes and officials. And of course we will prepare the national team even more massively,” said Dito.

Despite the delays in tickets for the 2024 Paris Olympics, Menpora Dito Ariotedjo still gives high appreciation for the efforts of the Indonesian U-23 National Team throughout the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup.

The 33 year old minister also assessed that Garuda Muda's performance tended to be balanced against Iraq in the final match as well as the fight for 3rd place, although Shin Tae-yong's troops ultimately had to recognize the superiority of Radhi Shenaishil's team.

“We must continue to be proud and (give) appreciation to our U-23 national team. We can see how the players are very aggressive and dominate attacks too (against Iraq in the U-23 Asian Cup),” said Dito.

“And we also have to be realistic, from the start meeting Iraq was not an easy struggle. Iraq was ranked in the 50s, while Indonesia was ranked in the 130s. And we can see how the game is very even and the potential for our national team to win is very large.”
